Do I have to be in the water during a pool party?

The Aquatics Division requires that any swimmer age 5 and under be accompanied by an adult (age 16 and older), in the water within arm’s reach at all times. There is not an extra charge for an adult supervising younger children. Ages 6 to 9 - Recommended that a parent/guardian 16 years or older are actively observing children from the deck unless children are “non-swimmers*”. *Non-swimmers should stay in shallow water with a parent/guardian who is in the water. It is recommended that non-swimmers use a Coast Guard-approved Lifejacket.
