Responsibilities
The tree resources and open space areas have been very important in defining the beauty of Parker. The Town takes great pride in the ability to offer this amenity to citizens.
The Forestry and Open Space Division is responsible for maintaining the Town's nearly 1,144 acres of open space. This includes weed management and re-vegetation when needed to promote healthy native grass stands. The Division is also responsible for the care and maintenance of all trees on Town-owned property. This includes planting, pruning, insect control, and removal of high-risk trees.
The Town of Parker has a Parks and Open Space Master Plan which guides the development of a parks, recreation and open space system to meet the needs of existing and future Parker residents.
